Welcome to my portfolio!

Welcome to my electronic portfolio for CIG 697.  This portfolio serves as a vessel to showcase some of the projects I have created during my master's program.  Similar to the artifacts that I am showcasing within the tab Content and Pedagogy, I have incorporated several design principles within this electronic portfolio to ensure readability, smooth function and layout.  For more information on the specific design principles I applied to my electronic portfolio see the side bar adjacent to this welcome message.

In this portfolio you will find several tabs.

Professional Philosophy includes my personal philosophy pertaining to teaching, learning and technology.

Research includes examples of research papers I have written and the relevance in society as well as challenges that educational technology faces.

Content and Pedagogy includes examples of content I have created, the process behind the creation and the relevance within the program.

Professional Standards includes my reflections on ISTE Standards and how the program has prepared me for undertaking the challenges of implementing them.

Finally if you would like to contact me, my information is within the Contact section.

To navigate, simply use the menu at the top of the page or use the buttons located at the bottom of the page to move through the portfolio in order. At any time you can use the home button located at the bottom of the page to return you to this main page.

Thank you for taking the time to review all the accomplishments and strives I have made within the master's program for educational technology.

Universal Principles of Design

These are the principles I focused on to create my portfolio's design:

Alignment

Aligned elements with multiple other elements to create a sense of unity and cohesion to increase the appeal of the design.

Color

Used complementary and analogous color schemes to increase appeal of design.

Consistency

Within this design I used functional and internal consistency.  Functional consistency appears within the navigation tools.  Internal consistency appears in the similarity of all functions and layouts within the design as a whole.

Legibility

Within this design, text is sized and contrasted according to design principles.  This is to aid in readability and perception of the design.

Proximity

Appears within the various sections of the website.  Proximity was used to ensure multiple artifacts were grouped together, aiding in understanding of relatedness.
